Home Visits

Doctor's bagHome visits are for patients that are seriously ill and cannot attend Surgery. Visit requests should be requested before 10 am where possible.

The Receptionist will ask for details in order to pass to the Doctor for an assessment of how urgent the visit should be.

You may be telephoned back by a clinician, to ascertain further information for this reason.

You should always ring back if the Doctor has not been in touch within 3 hours of your request.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
