consultThe telephone lines are open from 8.30 to 12 noon then 1pm to 6pm. However, requests for same day appointments are triaged by a GP and accepted between 8.30 to 11.30 and 2pm to 5pm only.  All on the day requests for appointments need to be made by phone, so you will need to provide an up to date and valid mobile telephone number.

Our Doctors ask that our Reception staff ask a few simple questions to establish which health care professional you actually need to see.  Please don't be offended this, will mean that you are signposted more effectively to the service most appropriate for your needs.

If appropriate, Doctors will assess the clinical need to be seen on the day. There is also a selection of pre bookable appointments available for a period of at least two weeks ahead. Appointments can be made to speak to a Doctor if you feel a telephone consultation is appropriate.

You can see any Doctor, please say if you have a preference but you may need to wait longer to see a specific Doctor. In the interests of continuity of care, we suggest you see the same Doctor you have consulted with initially if your illness is ongoing.

Any patients arriving late for an appointment may not be seen but Surgeries run over so you may have a delay.  Non attendances will be monitored on a regular basis and patients are politely requested to let the Surgery know if they are unable to keep appointments a facility is provided for this purpose even when we are closed, just ring and let us know please.  We have a 24 hour voicemail service to let us know and you can also text "CANCEL" if yo have had an appointment confirmation or reminder so that we can give the appointment to someone else.
