Patient Involvement continues to be an ongoing initiative driven by the Department of Health to ensure that patients are involved in decisions about the provision and quality of care they access. The Garden Surgery wishes to ensure that patients are involved in decisions about the range and quality of services provided. In this undertaking, we aim to encourage our patients to participate, by giving us their views in joining our Patient Participation Group (PPG) which is a virtual group that enables them to have their say about our services.

If you would like to read our most recent Patient Participation Group report please click here.
If you would like to join our Patient Participation Group, click the tab 'Join our Patient Group' and complete the form.
We are pleased that we have been successful in extending our group.  We have two more females represented and one male left the group.  Following ou rmost recent meeting we have the following action points which will form our action plan for 2016.
We undertook to report the numbers of non attendances and display in waiting areas.  We have also since introduced a new system of allowing patients to simply text CANCEL to be able to inform us as well as the telephone facility which is available
We will continue to look at the issue of waiting times with appoinments and recognise that this continues to be a weakness highlighted again in most recent National Patient Survery
Consider the feasibility of a Community newletter which could include news from various sources.
We will report to the PPG members at the next meeting and update of any progress in these areas.
