From April 2015 it has become a contractual requirements for GP practices to publish on their practice websites, by 31 March 2016, the mean net earnings of the partners, salaried GPs and locum who has worked in the practice for over six months.


“The average pay for GPs working at Garden Surgery in the last financial year 2016/17 was £56,416 before tax and National insurance. This is for 3 full-time GPs and 1 part-time GPs who worked at the practice for more than 6 months”


Mrs Denise Murray

Denise is a qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner and prescriber.  She has returned to the Garden Surgery to take the Lead Nurse and Mentor role to two Nurses.  Denise is responsible for leading and mentoring the nursing service and for developing progress of our nursing team.  

Miss Abigale Langford (f)

Abi is currently on maternity leave but will be back providing a specialist nursing service to manage Long term conditions as well as practice nurse duties such as wound care, ear care, immunisations and vaccines

Ms Kelly Fullbrook (f)

Kelly is a newly qualified nurse who will be undergoing training to become an experienced Practice Nurse.  Kelly has come to the practice on a scheme which allows her to be trained and become qualified in the whole range of services provided by Primary Care

Healthcare Assistants

Health Care Workers are available to carry out various Patient checks as required by the Practice Nurses or GP’s.
Mrs Mary Greenfield (f)

Mary is a very experienced Health Care Assistant who has returned to the Garden Surgery to work alongside the nursing team.  She is qualified to provide a range of services including immunisations and vaccines

Mr Joshua Wade (m)

Josh is a Health Care Apprentice who carries our a range of screening services and provides a phlebotomy service together with NHS Health checks and New patient checks.  Josh will undertake training in other services as his qualification progresses so that he can provide an even wider range of services for our Patients 

Miss Eve Minshull (f)

Eve is an Apprentice Health Care Assistant who can provide a range of services which include the NHS health Check, Collaborative care support planning (CCSP) for Long term conditions, wound care, phlebotomy and blood pressure monitoring


There is a Phlebotomy Team who are registered phlebotomists and who run regular clinics and carry out routine blood tests required by the Doctors.
